I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist living and working in London.

Having studied History at Oxford, I went on to work at The Economist’s Paris bureau. In France I was exposed for the first time to a culture of psychoanalysis and ended up developing an interest in the work of D.W. Winnicott and later in the intersection of psychosomatic theory and psychotherapy.

My interest in the body/mind question led to me training in several somatic therapies and then in London as an Integrative Psychotherapist. Subsequently, however, I returned to study psychoanalysis and now work intensively with patients face to face or on the couch.

Over the years, I have worked for various charities and in the NHS. In private practice I work with all kinds of people and problems and am particularly interested in the benefits of this kind of work for people who suffer with chronic or unexplained physical symptoms.

I am member of The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and Das Unbehangen.
